This can lead to unnecessary arguments and inconvenience. If you’re a first time international flyer, then it’s important for you to ensure you arrive at the airport fully prepared for the flight ahead.
Over preparing is not a bad thing. So when you’ve booked a flight from our flight specials, then you need to ensure you have all the compulsory documents before you leave the house.
Here are travel documents you should never forget when you’re boarding an international flight:
- Health Documents
If you’ve been browsing through flights to Lusaka from Durban and you’re keen on visiting this beautiful country then you should know that obtaining a health document from your doctor is mandatory when travelling to Zambia. Illnesses such as malaria, hepatitis A and typhoid are common in this country and vaccinations and preventative treatments against these illnesses have to be taken. You also need to make sure you take the prescribed medication before, during and after your trip.
Most know that passports are essential to pack when travelling across the border. Ensure you have a valid visa that does not expire within six months of you travelling to your destination.
- ID and Passport
Not having a valid identity document and passport that is in good condition may result in you being denied boarding and everything you need to know is available in order to avoid this. Make sure your passport does not expire within 6 months of flying.
- Boarding Pass
Some airlines allow this to be printed at the airport and some don’t. To avoid confusion, it’s best to print a boarding pass before checking in at the airport.
- Make copies
Make at least two copies of each of the necessary documents and put them in separate bags. In the unfortunate event of losing your ID or passport, you will have a certified copy of each document which will cause you to panic less.
- Company ID
If you’re flying on business then it’s crucial to ensure you have your company profile and company’s identity documents in case they are checked.
