Cadet Pilot Training Programme

Launched in 2008, the SA Express Cadet Pilot Training Programme aims to address what appears to be the imminent pilot shortage. This means that we are always searching for aspiring pilots! The airline is committed to ensuring that it continues to provide opportunities to passionate, bright young South Africans from all walks of life.

SA Express is an incubator for scarce skills in order to lead transformation in the aviation industry. The Cadet programme trains pilots from entry level into aviation industry professionals.

The Cadet Mach I Programme – this introduction programme is designed for learners with a matric that have maths and science, level 5 minimum. These learners are will attain their PPL (private pilot’s license).

The Cadet Mach II Programme – this programme is designed to train pilots that have their private pilot’s license (PPL) and are trained to obtain their CPL (commercial pilot’s license) and the regulation 250 flying hours.

SA Express encourages all those who are passionate about aviation and aspiring pilots to send their CVs and any questions to Margot Venter on Mventer@flyexpress.aero

Through the successful implementation of the Cadet Programmes, the airline has managed to lead transformation in the industry by training in excess of 250 black pilots in the past ten years.
