SA Express is a domestic and regional, passenger and cargo carrier established on 24 April 1994. SA Express has since become one of the fastest growing regional airlines in Africa.

As a regional airline with route networks covering major local and regional cities, SA Express plays a significant role in the country's hospitality, travel and tourism industry and is vital contributor to the country's socio-economic development.

The airline's head office is based at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. SA Express has a growing fleet of aircraft and implements self-technical maintenance for all its fleet types at OR Tambo International Airport.
